Process of Commissioning a Painting
Meet over Phone/ Video Chat
We will begin by discussing the significance and meaning behind the artwork. Is it for a special occasion or a special person in your life? Do you have a photo or image to use as inspiration for the painting?
Discuss Details
Then we will move on to some practical questions. Does it need to be a particular size? Do you want it on a certain material like canvas or wood? Are there certain colours of preference? Does it need to be completed by a certain date?
Price and Delivery
On the second meeting, a non-refundable deposit of 35% is required. In particular cases, a photo shoot may be required. If so, I will arrange a time with the client that is suitable for both parties. Updates on the progression of the piece will be noted and Commission clients normally get the option to make one revision to the piece as it is being created.
Typically, the client pays for delivery of the artwork, but sometimes it is included in the price. Once a contract is signed, I can then get started creating your custom art.
